Precision
We don't guess. Every tag, every search result, and every integration is engineered for exactness. Ambiguity has no place in our system.
Our Story
The Founder's Letter
Founder & CEO
In 2018, while documenting the aftermath of a conflict in Syria, I watched a hard drive fail. Not just fail — corrupt. The images of that story, the faces of the people I had promised to tell their stories to, were gone. I spent three days in a hotel room with a technician trying to recover what we could, but the metadata was fragmented, the filenames were random, and the sheer volume of data made manual organization impossible.
That moment of helplessness is why Nexa exists. I realized that the tools we use to create are often the tools that betray us when we need them most. We built Nexa to ensure that no image is ever lost to a bad folder structure or a corrupted drive again.

The Origin Story
The frustration wasn't just about the lost data; it was about the time. Hours spent searching, renaming, and tagging files that should have been spent creating. We set out to build a system that understands images the way a human does — with nuance, context, and intent.
To make every image findable, so that the world's visual history is preserved and accessible to everyone.
Core Values
We don't guess. Every tag, every search result, and every integration is engineered for exactness. Ambiguity has no place in our system.
Complexity is the enemy of speed. We strip away the noise so your workflow remains fluid, intuitive, and unburdened by technical debt.
We treat every pixel and every line of code with care. Our product is a reflection of our commitment to quality and attention to detail.

Office & Culture
Our office in San Francisco is designed to foster creativity. We have a dedicated photo studio, a soundproof podcast room, and an open-plan layout that encourages spontaneous brainstorming sessions. We believe that the best ideas happen when people are physically together.
We are remote-first, but we believe in the power of face-to-face connection. We host quarterly "Nexa Days" where the entire team gathers to build, hack, and celebrate.
Help us build the future of visual intelligence. We're looking for builders, thinkers, and creators.
